Fall Book Sale (FOAL Members)

The Fall book sale will be held October 26-29, 2023

• Thursday, October 26th is member’s only night from 5 to 8:30 p.m. (Become a member of FOAL – click here!)
• Friday, October 27th and Saturday, October 28th is the public sale from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Sunday, October 29th is the final day, all books are 1/2 priced from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Please take metro or park in the outdoor lots surrounding the library as we use the garage for the sale. The closest Metro stations are Ballston and Virginia Square, both on the Orange Line.

Please bring your own bags or boxes as we have a limited number of paper bags and boxes for patrons to use.

Cash and credit cards are accepted at the sales.

Teachers and librarians with school ID’s receive 50% off book purchases on Friday and Saturday, and everyone receives 50% off on Sunday (it’s half price day).

T-shirts, mugs, and book bags are excluded from the 50% off on all days.

Specialty books are priced individually and include sets, first editions, and rare books. Specialty books will be sold in the Quincy Room inside Central Library (the main book sale happens in the garage). Specialty books will be sold on Thursday from 5:30pm-8pm; on Friday and Saturday from 10:30am – 4:30pm, and on Sunday from 11:30am – 4:30pm.
