Our mission is to enable a strong, vibrant, engaged community using our libraries as a place to read, learn, work, create, congregate, and share ideas.
Arlington’s public library system is an incredible resource for increasing literacy and strengthening our community.
We strive to enhance its capabilities by providing support for collections, events, and programs.

On a personal note, my learning disabled son has always had a strong aversion to reading. Motivated initially by the promise of free burritos, he read no less than 42 books this summer (which is likely more books than he has willingly read over his entire lifetime). This program has built his confidence and fostered a love of reading that, frankly, I was afraid he’d never develop. I can only imagine that there are many others just like him. What a truly wonderful impact you have all had on this community!"
