Arlington Puzzle Festival

sudoku3The Arlington Puzzle Festival is a celebration of words, logic, numbers and thinking. It’s a place to meet other puzzle fanatics in a friendly, fun and enjoyable atmosphere.

Participation is free for current members of the Friends of the Arlington Public Library, with a suggested donation of $15 for non-members. All proceeds support Library programs and initiatives, and the development of the Library’s collection.

The sixth annual Arlington Puzzle Festival was held Nov. 5 at Arlington Central Library.

The fifth annual Arlington Puzzle Festival was held Nov. 7 at Arlington Central Library.


The 2014 Arlington Puzzle Festival was held Saturday, Nov. 8.


Seventy puzzle-loving people showed up at the Reed School Gymnasium to take part in the third annual Arlington Puzzle Festival in 2013.

Puzzles for the crossword puzzle tournament in 2013 were provided by New York Times puzzlemaster Will Shortz. Puzzles for the Sudoku tournament were provided by Thomas Snyder, editor of the website Grandmaster Puzzles and five-time World Sudoku Champion.
